Physician Bio
We are pleased to introduce Travis Evans, FNP-C, a certified family nurse practitioner.
He is involved in all aspects of patient care. He contributes to his patients’ healthcare by providing them with as much education as possible, allowing them to be a part of the decision-making process. He has clinical experience in emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, weight loss, and women’s health. He offers preventative care for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and other damaging diseases.
Patients who see Travis say he is very caring and has a good bedside manner. He takes the time to educate patients about the importance of preventative care, emphasizing what is important to maintain good health. Travis likes to focus on preventative care and emphasizes that it is important and possible to maintain good health when you know what your body needs.
Travis was born and raised in Blackfoot.
In 2011, Travis moved to Oregon where he worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner, but quickly returned to Bingham Memorial Hospital. “I had worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse before and knew that it was a great healthcare facility,” said Travis. “There is a small town, personal feeling you can’t get anywhere else.”
Travis and his wife are both natives to the Blackfoot area and have five children. They enjoy camping, fishing, water skiing, and anything that allows them to be in the outdoors.
Professional Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management from University of Utah
- After graduation, Travis started working as a banker, but dreamed of a career that gave him the rewarding feeling you obtain from helping others
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then his Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner program, from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho
