Karrie Moore Named as BMH’s Employee of the Year for 2017

BLACKFOOT, Idaho – December 6, 2017 – Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH) is pleased to announce that Karrie Moore has been named Employee of the Year for 2017. Karrie has been a full-time employee at BMH for 10 years, working in several different capacities. Today, she is a clinical analyst with BMH’s information technology department.

All Bingham Memorial employees had the opportunity to nominate someone for Employee of the Year. This year, Karrie’s peers chose her because they greatly respect her, and she is always happy to help, making sure all of BMHs patients and guests are taken care of and are directed in a kind manner.

“Congratulations on being nominated by your peers for going above and beyond to care for our patients and their family members,” says Jake Erickson, CEO at BMH. “And for embodying our mission and vision statements and core values, and for creating a lasting example for our employees. We are so proud to have you as part of the Bingham Family.”

Karrie repeatedly works from home or late at night to ensure things are running as designed, so that staff are not interrupted. She does all of this without the expectation of praise or a thank you. She does her job because she wants to make a difference for those that are front line in taking care of patients, and she wants to make their job easier to make the patient’s stay a much better experience. In addition, Karrie comes in any time to help physicians learn the charting system—nights, weekends, whatever it takes.

“Karrie is truly an inspiration,” says co-worker, Brenda Martinez. “She is the kind of coworker, friend, and mother I strive to be. She is the most caring, selfless, thoughtful, and trustworthy person I know. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen her go above and beyond her position, without seeking recognition. The work she completes is not something most think of, but can have a large impact in one’s workflow and process. She is devoted in making sure everything is running correctly, no matter the issue—big or small.”
