Physician Bio

Bingham Healthcare is pleased to recommend Hira Siktel, MD. Dr. Siktel is a nephrologist and works with the physicians at the Idaho Kidney Center.

Dr. Siktel completed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and continued his training by finishing a fellowship in Nephrology at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

Dr. Siktel says, “My priority is always listening to my patients first.” Dr. Siktel believes medicine is not just about writing a prescription and sending the patient home, it’s about listening to them and helping the patient recover from the chronic disease. Dr. Siktel further explains, “Nothing brings more joy to me then to know my patient is feeling better, I feel satisfied that I have used my education and the skills I learned in training to help my patients.”

Dr. Siktel is trained to treat chronic kidney disease, hypertension, end stage renal disease, renal transplants, acute kidney injury and kidney stones. After growing up in Nepal and having lived in New York for almost eight years, Dr. Siktel is excited for his family to be in Idaho.

When he’s not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf and soccer.

In Blackfoot, Dr. Siktel sees patients at the Idaho Physicians Clinic, located on the third floor of the Bingham Memorial Medical Plaza.
