Physician Bio
Dr. Nicholas Packer, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with training and experience in a broad range of women’s health services, including high- and low-risk obstetrics, gynecologic surgery, and infertility care.
Dr. Packer earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine after completing a degree at Brigham Young University–Idaho. He completed his OB/GYN residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident and earned recognition for excellence in minimally invasive surgery.
Originally from Blackfoot, Idaho, Dr. Packer has spent his career caring for women in rural and underserved areas throughout the Southeast and Southern Idaho. He is excited to join Grove Creek Women’s Health to provide pregnancy care. He feels it is important to tailor the pregnancy experience to the individual, and foster positive, collaborative communication.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Packer is active in healthcare leadership and community service. He has served as Chief of Medical Staff at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital and contributed to hospital committees focused on patient satisfaction, IT systems, and electronic health record implementation. In all his roles, Dr. Packer is known for his thoughtful communication, collaborative approach, and dedication to advancing the quality of women’s healthcare.
When he’s not in the clinic or operating room, Dr. Packer enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth in sports, serving in his church, and enjoying the outdoors.
