Physician Bio
Bingham Healthcare is pleased to introduce Roshan S. Patel, MD—a board-certified pathologist in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with specialized training in gastrointestinal and liver pathology.
Dr. Patel was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Chicago when he was two years old. He spent almost all of his educational years in Chicago. One of Dr. Patel’s most incredible experiences was when he spent six weeks of a summer vacation volunteering at a medical clinic in Gambia (West Africa) with the World Health Organization.
As a pathologist, Dr. Patel works hand-in-hand with your physician to identify and evaluate disease. For Dr. Patel, the patient comes first. As he works with your physician, your health and well-being are his number one priority. Dr. Patel enjoys the challenging and dynamic environment pathology has to offer. He is excited to be a part of such a wonderful community. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys his newly married life, basketball, audio gear, and traveling.
Professional Credentials
- Graduated from the University of Chicago with dual majors in Economics and Biological Sciences
- Dr. Patel deferred medical school for a year and joined Mercer Consulting Firm as a healthcare analyst in Stamford, CT
- Completed medical school at Rush Medical College and a residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago
- Completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology at the University of Florida in Gainesville
