Physician Bio

Dr. Vanessa M. Cameron, DO, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, and is additionally board certified in obesity medicine (ABOM), advanced menopause (NAMS) and is an ACOG board certified minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon (MIGS).

In addition to helping women through pregnancy and labor and delivery, Dr. Cameron enjoys educating women about their bodies and providing preventative health measures. She has a special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques and is a certified single site and conventional robotic surgeon. She likes solving problems and connecting with other women. As a mother to three young daughters herself, Dr. Cameron’s patients describe her as being very relatable and a good listener.

“I love the full scope nature of being an Ob-Gyn, from taking care of adolescents meeting a gynecologist for the first time to providing prenatal care and delivering babies to managing the menopausal transitional with my older patients. I also find great satisfaction in addressing a problem surgically and vastly improving the quality of my patient’s life.

Dr. Cameron is from Elmhurst, Illinois, and is excited to now be living and working in Eastern Idaho. Dr. Cameron is passionate about the outdoors and is an avid runner. In her spare time she also enjoys cooking (including some epic Pinterest failures) and spending time with her family.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado
  • Graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine- AZCOM in Glendale, Arizona, with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria/OSF in Peoria, Illinois
