Servant’s Heart Recipients – 3rd Quarter 2024
Our Servant’s Heart Award honors team members who are recognized by their peers for delivering loving and compassionate care. Congratulations to our 2024 – third quarter recipients!
Provider: Christine Black
Nominated by: Vanessa Perez
Dr. Black is the most kindhearted provider I have met. She had a patient who desperately needed a medication, but the patient could not afford it. Dr. Black did not think twice and went down to the pharmacy to buy it for her. Dr. Black is that type of provider for all her patients—she doesn’t hesitate to get what they need. She deserves this award and so much more. We are lucky to have her!
Support Staff: Natasha Marshall
Nominated by: Victoria Martinez
Natasha demonstrates her compassion and dedication towards our patients each and every day, whether through conversations over the phone or in person. She goes above and beyond to ensure our patients get the assistance they need to understand their billing. Natasha has repeatedly extended her help by personally contacting our clinics, nurses, and insurance companies to resolve patient concerns on the first call. She also takes on additional tasks to assist our lead supervisor with reports weekly and helps her fellow PFA with daily work to keep business flowing smoothly. Natasha is a gem and a big part of our team. We all appreciate her hard work and awesome positive attitude.
Nurse: Barbara Brown, LPN
Nominated by: Holly Davis
Barb is our Patient Navigator and visits with patients and families daily. We have had an elderly patient in our facility for the last month. Until recently, this patient had been the caretaker for her husband of over 60 years, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Due to her recent illness, the husband had been placed in a care facility, and the patient had not seen him in several weeks. Barb coordinated with the facility and was able to bring the gentleman from Pocatello to Bingham to spend a few hours with his wife. A friend of Barb’s also brought chocolate and flowers for the couple. They were thrilled to be together and bask in each other’s quiet company for those few hours. To see them together, holding hands, was an uplifting experience for all of us in patient care and a reminder of our purpose. Barb went above and beyond in her role and truly demonstrates the qualities of a servant’s heart.
All employees, regardless of where they work in our organization, are caregivers who play an important role in the healing miracles that occur each day. Thank you for all you do in providing compassionate and personalized care to every person you serve.
