Bingham Healthcare Nurses Honored for Excellence at Idaho Nurse Leaders LEAP East Conference
The Idaho Nurse Leaders LEAP (Leadership, Education, Advanced Practice) East Conference was held in Pocatello on October 17. This annual event brings together nurses from throughout the state to learn, celebrate achievements, and advance the profession of nursing.
One of the most prestigious honors presented at the conference is the Kathleen Nelson Leadership Award, named after a revered nursing leader who served as Chief Nursing Officer for Madison Memorial Hospital and EIRMC, and Chair of the Nursing Department at the College of Eastern Idaho. This award recognizes extraordinary leadership and meaningful contributions to nursing practice.

Cyndal is an exceptional and innovative leader who has been a driving force in rural healthcare for 17 years. She maintains clinical expertise in ICU and Emergency Nursing while leading transformative education and onboarding programs at Bingham Healthcare. Her visionary work includes implementing a Tiered Skills Acquisition Model to enhance nurse confidence, satisfaction, and retention.
As Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator, she has strengthened our policies, equipment, and training to ensure the highest standards of pediatric patient care.
Cyndal’s dedication, leadership, and mentorship have made a lasting impact on nurses, students, and physicians alike. We are proud to celebrate her nomination for this esteemed award and honor her outstanding contributions to advancing rural healthcare.
