Bingham Healthcare Upgrades to an Advanced MRI
BLACKFOOT, ID – February 5, 2024 – The residents of rural Eastern Idaho depend on Bingham Healthcare for their healthcare needs. Medical staff at Bingham will soon be benefiting from access to a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner. A generous grant from MJ Murdock Charitable Trust of Vancouver, Washington, along with support from the Bingham Health Care Foundation (Foundation), made this possible. The MRI scanner will allow doctors, nurses, advanced practitioners, and other clinical staff to enhance their already substantial abilities to treat patients.
The MJ Murdock Charitable Trust recently awarded Bingham Healthcare $360,000 to go towards the new SIGNA™ Voyager 1.5T wide bore (MRI) scanner. SIGNA™ Voyager gives technologists and radiologists quick, patient-friendly exams with consistent, optimal image quality. This intelligent 1.5T wide bore MRI scanner is designed to be a masterful balance of comfort and productivity, with features that improve the patient experience and software that can optimize image quality and reduce exam time.
The Bingham Health Care Foundation contributed $50,0000 towards the MRI. “The Foundation is truly grateful to support the purchase of the new scanner,” says Tara Preston, director of the Foundation. “Grants make meaningful impacts to nonprofit organizations and the communities that they serve. The real point of these awards is to rally the necessary resources to help communities thrive. The support from the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust and the Foundation has allowed us to do just that.”
This new scanner is built with contemporary architecture that delivers deeper signal penetration and sharper, high-quality images. The intelligent design automates patient protocols to help decrease exam times and accommodate more patients per day. The SIGNA™ Voyager comes equipped with the SIGNA™ Works productivity platform, a robust workflow solution designed to maximize clinical performance and simplify operational efficiency.
“This new MRI scanner will assist medical personnel and raise the standard of care in East Idaho,” says Jake Erickson, CEO at Bingham Healthcare. “We are always looking for ways to be the region’s most trusted resource for improving quality of life. And the new MRI scanner will assist our medical staff to provide the highest quality of care available.”
