Physician Bio

We are pleased to introduce Betsy Reese, DO, a board-certified family medicine and primary care sports medicine physician with extensive experience in musculoskeletal care, non-operative orthopedics, and concussion management. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies in biology at Lycoming College.

Dr. Reese completed her family medicine residency at Forbes Hospital – Allegheny Health Network in Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. During her fellowship, she developed advanced expertise in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, concussion management, and performing musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided procedures. She also served as a team physician for Hampton High School and assisted in the care of athletes from organizations including USA Rugby, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Following her training, Dr. Reese served as a family medicine physician in the United States Air Force, where she cared for a diverse patient population and helped lead medical teams supporting thousands of service members and their families. She later continued her career in community-based family medicine and sports medicine practices, providing both primary care and non-operative orthopedic care to patients of all ages.

As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Reese believes that the body’s systems are interconnected and that patients should be treated as whole persons rather than as a single condition.

“I believe in partnering with patients to achieve short-term and long-term health goals.”

Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal injuries, sports medicine, osteopathic manipulation, and concussion care, with a focus on female athletes and active women.

In her free time, Dr. Reese enjoys “all that the outdoors has to offer” and spending time with family.
