Physician Bio

We are pleased to introduce Dean Shandy, DO, board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Dr. Shandy works with patients of all ages suffering from ADHD, anxiety, depression, addiction issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and all other mental health issues. He improves the quality of life for his patients by providing solutions to the problems they may be facing.

Dr. Shandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology with a minor in psychology, from the University of Montana, Missoula. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) in Yakima, Washington. While working in the adult psychiatry residency program in Erie, Pennsylvania, he also earned his Master’s degree in Education.  He then completed child and adolescent psychiatry program at Case Western/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.

When Dr. Shandy is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family. He particularly enjoys going camping, fishing or simply riding on his ATV to explore the great state of Idaho. He is married with three children. He also enjoys working on old cars and watching movies.
