Physician Bio
Dr. Vulava is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over a decade of hospitalist experience in both urban and rural settings.
Dr. Vulava has served in various hospitalist roles, including at high-acuity centers like Miami Valley Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center in Ohio, where he was elected to the Physician Wall of Excellence in 2017. Since 2018, he has worked as a Chief Hospitalist and independent contractor with the Rural Physician Group, managing critical access hospitals across the U.S. He also serves as a locum tenens physician with Weatherby Consultants.
Experienced in ICU care, ventilator management, and complex inpatient medicine, Dr. Vulava holds active medical licenses in over a dozen states and is a member of the American College of Physicians. He was honored with the Top Chief Hospitalist Award for 2024 and has been actively involved in peer coaching, physician recruitment, and HCAHPS improvement initiatives.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Vulava enjoys extensive travel, yoga, and meditation.
Professional Credentials
He earned his MBBS from JJM Medical College in India in 2007, completed residency training through Drexel University College of Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Jersey, and has been board-certified in internal medicine since 2013.
