Bingham Memorial’s Emergency Department Received an Equipment Grant

BLACKFOOT, ID – June 26, 2020 – Bingham Healthcare is pleased to announce that their emergency department (ED) at Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH) recently received a grant for pediatric equipment and supplies from the State of Idaho, Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness. The grant was for over $5,000 worth of equipment.

“Our emergency room plays a critical role in the health and safety of the rural communities in Bingham County,” said Jennifer Pugmire, manager of the ED at BMH. “We are grateful for this life-saving equipment. This grant will enable us to better serve infants and young children in distress. With this and other state-of-the-art equipment, our doctors and nurses have the resources they need to care for people with emergency medical needs.”

A few of the important pieces of equipment that Bingham’s ED received was an infant and pediatric airway mannequin for training, a capnography emma emergency kit, pediatric warming devices, and a doppler ultrasonography device.
